This position plays an important role in executing high-quality concrete work on active construction projects.
Summary:

A Concrete Finisher is an advanced-level position responsible for performing a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete. Concrete Finishers supervise helpers and are considered experts in all phases of concrete finishing. Those who demonstrate exceptional skill and leadership may be considered for promotion to Foreman .
General Duties:

• Perform clean-up duties and preparation tasks on construction sites.
• Place and vibrate concrete to ensure proper compaction and finish.
• Chip concrete for the purpose of rubbing and patching.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent, Field Engineer, or Foreman .

Position Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Strong interest in the construction industry with a willingness to work hard and learn.
• Good skills with hand and power tools.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of mixing compounds.
• General construction experience or willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Attention to detail and adherence to set standards and rules.
• Stamina, motivation, and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and reach .
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or a 92-pound cement bag with assistance.
• Requires good vision, physical stamina, and the ability to estimate size and dimensions accurately.
